About the School
King’s College London School of Medicine is one of the largest and oldest Schools of Medicine in the UK. The provision for undergraduates in the School of Medicine includes the MBBS – one of the longest established medical degrees in the UK – and top rated nutrition and physiotherapy programmes (NHS London).
With four entry routes, the MBBS programme has among the highest of any UK medical school and as such, one of the most diverse undergraduate student populations. With more than 5,000 applications received each year, it is also a first choice for tomorrow’s doctors.
Our teaching is strengthened by the clinical experience offered by our NHS partners, including the world-renowned Guy’s, King’s College and St Thomas’ Hospitals. From the earliest stages, students learn to work as healthcare professionals through King’s innovative inter-professional education programme, shared with students from the schools of nursing, midwifery and dentistry.
The School also offers a wide range of graduate study options including some unique and award-winning MSc programmes and short courses supporting career development for clinical scientists, clinicians, general practitioners, allied health professionals and healthcare policy makers and leaders.
The School delivers an Academic Foundation programme with training in all major specialties. With 10 internationally leading research divisions, the School offers excellent Phd opportunities in addition to a graduate development programme supporting training and development for research students.
